Reading Time: Joining Forces.
Louis Vuitton and Comme Des Garcons are taking fashion collaborations to a new level.
The ultimate French luxury luggage label and the fashion rebel will join forces to open a store in Tokyo this September for 3 months.
It will showcase six one-off bags designed by Rei Kawakubo, described as "party" bags, promising multiple handles or two handles morphing into one. All bags will use the monogram toile, with the LV initials.
Kawakubo has re-designed the entire Comme des Garcons store in Omotesando for the Vuitton project. Vuitton is investing in it financially and all profits will be divided between the two fashion giants.
Another exciting collaboration for Comme des Garcons will be with H&M. Rei is expected to produce men's, women's, and children's collections for the fast-fashion chain, as well as a unisex fragrance. The Garcons collection will debut in H&M stores worldwide in the beginning of November!
Happy times are ahead for Fall!
