Having an old college friend in town gave Christina a great excuse to leave her desk and take advantage of restaurant week in New York.
Although it has always been my favorite New York restaurant, Gramercy Tavern is even more fun to show off after it won the Outstanding Restaurant award in the 2008 James Beard Foundation Restaurant Awards.

The $24.07 gift certificate is good toward another weekday lunch at Gramercy Tavern from August 4th through September 26th, between 12 noon and 2pm, in either the Tavern Room or the Dining Room.
I recommend you get there early. You definitely don't want to feel rushed when you are enjoying the fabulous food and the service that makes you feel like a celebrity!
