On Nov 4th, we will be doing two important things: voting for our next President, and trying to find something to wear with our new Kathryn Amberleigh boots. These are the only boots that should be worn on that day. No flats or sneakers allowed, not even flat

This is a big day for all of us in NYC. Make a statement when you walk into your voting office.

Projects' Staff Weekly Obsession: Ozwald Boateng

Kalyca has a thing for Ozzie.

At twenty-three years old, he had his own fashion line. Before his 30th birthday he became the youngest tailor to open a shop on Savile Row in London. Ozwald Boateng, who was born in Ghana, has given us wildly colorful, slim-fitting, textured suits for two decades now.

The modern day King of Savile Row branched out and reigned over the French fashion house Givenchy as the creative director of menswear for four years, leaving in 2007. With plans to make his innovative presence know in the U.S with his own freestanding shops, men's diffusion line and a women's line, the future looks bright for Ozwald.

Hope he doesn't steer too far away from what he does best though, because no one wears his designs better than the mastermind himself. All Hail Mr. Boateng!!!

Can Older Be Better?

Older men are giving the young boys a run for their money. With age we are supposed to gain knowledge. It's obvious that these men gain that and a lot more when it comes to fashion.

So ladies, there is still hope for our guys. With enough molding and fashion love from us, this is what we can look forward to when we get older.

Are You Talking To Me?

FLARE is a modular system. Acting like a living skin, it allows a building to express, communicate and interact with its environment.

Each metal flake reflects the sunlight when in vertical standby position.
When the flake is tilted downwards, its face is shaded from the sky and this way appears as a dark pixel.

The system is controlled by a computer to form any kind of animation on its surface. Sensor systems inside and outside the building communicate the building's activity directly to the FLARE system.

Spotlight: The Revolving Doors of Givenchy.

Mr. Hubert James Givenchy

Givenchy with his muse and friend, Audrey Hepburn

Count Hubert James Marcel Taffin de Givenchy founded the fashion house in 1952. The French aristocrat and fashion designer is famous for having designed much of the personal and professional wardrobe of Audrey Hepburn, as well as clothing for clients such as Jacqueline Kennedy.

John Galliano's design Givenchy

Alexander McQueen for Givenchy Haute Couture.

Givenchy has survived the test of time along with Christian Dior, Balanciaga, and Chanel, but no other fashion house had had as much controversy or has employed as many designers who now have their own high end, ready-to-wear lines. Designers like John Galliano who designed for two years, Alexander McQueen for five, Julien McDonald for four, and Ozwald Boateng (for the menswear), ended his rein after four years of sending collections down the runway for Givenchy.

Ozwald Boateng does Givenchy Menswear some justice.

As of today, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy owns Givenchy and Riccardo Tisci is the chief designer of womens-wear and menswear. We do hope that this institution of fashion history has found a perfect match with Tisci and will continue to be one of the best.

Riccardo Tisci is now married to the fashion house.

Projects' Staff Weekly Obsession: Dr. Martens.

Tina is happy Dr.Martens are in her life again.

Dr. Martens have made a comeback this season and can be seen as the "It" boots. Dr.M has become something more fashionable than punk and grunge this season with its bright, bold, fun colors. Model Agyness Deyn, a fashion icon has been spotted wearing Dr. Martens in these bright colors with jeans, skirts and dresses.

It gives an outfit an edgy appeal with attitude. Dr. Martens have had a long history and they seem to attract different clicks, usually hardcore punk, metal or grunge fans. But watch out because this time around, its associated only with hardcore fashionistas.
