This week, Christina is loving the new Coldplay CD entitled Viva La Vida, or long live life. Inspired by a Frida Kahlo painting, some of the album, which was recorded in churches in Spain and Latin America, is full of religious references. The song "Life in Technicolor" introduces a Persian santur into the orchestration, commonly used in the traditional music of Iraq and Iran, as well as steel guitars and long instrumental soundscapes.
