Bicycles and the Beautiful.

You can say they're eco-conscious or its just a trend, but in cities all over the world, many women are riding bicycles to get to their destination instead of taking a cab or train. Bike lanes are popping up all over NYC now, so it's safer to ride the fastest and cheapest form of transportation in the city.

Beauty on Bikes. They are a special breed that manages to ride on two wheels while looking fresh and keeping their designer dress neat and pressed, all the way home.

Bigger than my head.

Budapest’s Sterling Gallery features jewelry by some of Hungary’s finest contemporary designers. All pieces are hand-made limited editions ranging from classic simplicity to a touch of whimsy The work is bold and sometimes colorful.
The hollow bracelet above by Reka Lorincz, made of biodegradable plastic, was designed for the theater, rather than everyday wear, but I'm quite sure that someone in New York can work it into their wardrobe.

CHRISTIAN DIOR

VALENTINO

ARMANI PRIVÉ

JEAN PAUL GAULTIER

ALEXIS MABILLE

It's a fashion ritual that only happens in Paris. The Haute Couture Shows are for the women who can afford to buy wearable art made to fit their exact body measurements. Even though many of us may never have a one-of-a kind, outrageously priced piece hanging in our wardrobe, it doesn't hurt to look!

Project Staff Weekly Obsession: Pinkberry.

Tina's weekly obsession is Pinkberry. With the hot weather, Pinkberry is the perfect little treat to cool you down. It's a yogurt-based frozen yogurt offered in plain, green tea and coffee flavors. You can top it off with your favorite fruits or dry toppings such as chocolate chips, cereal, nuts, or cookie pieces. The best part of the dessert is that it is low in calories.
A small has only 130 calories!! Frozen yogurt isn't the only thing that they offer, but they also have smoothies and shaved ice.

Tina's favorite mix:

plain yogurt

pineapple

raspberry

fruity pebbles

So what's your favorite combo?

Polish the city twice a day.

Having become world-renowned for his stainless steel sculptures of “scholars' rocks,” Zhan Wang, a respected artist in China, painstakingly creates his pieces of art by bending, heating and molding sections of stainless steel plates across the cloud-like topography of each rock. The graceful, craggy boulders can be found in several provinces around China that seem to have been sculpted by natural forces.

The artist created a topographical San Francisco cityscape, using steel rocks, mirrored surfaces, silverware, and stainless steel pots and pans.

Alexander the Great.

Mr. McQueen never ceases to amaze us. His new flagship store on Melrose Ave takes us into his fantasy world again, and one of his usual partners in crime helped created it.

William Russell and Alexander McQueen have a history together because of the original three flagship stores in London, Milan and New York.

The Los Angeles store is unique because of one big thing, "Angel of the Americas." It is a large sculpture suspended through the skylight of the store. Designed by Robert Bryce Muir, this 9-foot anatomically correct male sculpture is made from pure stainless steel and can be seen from the outside as well as the inside of the store. Drive-by art on Melrose Ave, that's a treat!
