Take Your Time: Olafur Eliasson by Olafur Eliasson

This presentation at the MOMA spans over fifteen years of Eliasson's career. His constructions, sculptures, and photographs elegantly recreate the extremes of landscape and atmosphere. He used multicolored washes, focused projections of light, mirrors, and elements such as water, stone, and moss to shift the viewer's perception of place and self.



This exhibit allows viewers to become part of Olafur's imaginary landscape. The cool, air-conditioned space of the MOMA will be a good place to take refuge from the heat this weekend.

Color Within The Lines.

Just in time for Spring.
Color Chart: Reinventing Color, 1950 to Today. It features forty-four artists including Ellsworth Kelly, Andy Warhol, Gerhard Richter, and Damien Hirst explore ready-made color in various forms including paintings, sculpture and large art installations.

To complement the exhibition, MoMA have produced a flash website which is a good place to begin if you are thinking of visiting Color Chart.

The exhibition runs from March 2–May 12, 2008 at MoMA, NY. The Museum is closed Tuesdays.
