Utilizing Space

Architect Neil Denari has conceived a form that bends and folds into its tight surroundings. The challenge is a 40 foot wide lot near Tenth Avenue which is partly covered by the High Line. The condo will rise up on one side and then slightly cantilever over the old elevated railway bed.

Glass will reveal structural crossbeams that look almost like tiebacks holding everything together against gravity. The condo will include nine floor-through apartments ranging in size from about 1,900 square feet to 2,600 square feet. The penthouse duplex unit will have 3,700 square feet and a terrace. A ground floor duplex will also be available.

A Secret Treasure in Paris.

In Paris, there is a short, secret paved path, located between, trees and plants where the “maquis de Montmartre” remains are. Just in front of the intriguing “Rocher de la sorcière” (The witch’s rock), a gate will lead you to a beautiful mansion from the Directoire period. It is called L’hotel Particulier de Montmartr.

L’hotel Particulier de Montmartre (The Montmartre townhouse) is not a hotel like any other. It is an exceptional mansion sheltering five suites all offering luxurious services, with contemporary design in a unique environment.
Totally atypical and nested in a secret passage, the hotel is surrounded by an unusual and luxuriant garden designed by Louis Bénech (Designer of the “Jardin des Tuileries”).

This townhouse will offer you something no other hotel will. Suites like top of the range apartments in which you will feel at home or even better.
Perfect for intimacy, calm and well being.

A Nap like no other..

As you get older, you tend to forget about majestic mid-day siesta that is nap time. When you’re a kid, there’s no better time (except for recess) than bunking down on your He-Man mat with a handful of juice and cookies and a head full of addition and subtraction problems. But, the time has come again for the afternoon snooze.

The Nappak is essentially an inflatable bounce-house that blows up to a small cubicle. Well, not that small. If we had to choose between this and a bedroll, we’d risk a little embarrassment for the sake of comfort. Now if it only had some sort of curtain we could take our pants off.

ART or VANDALISM?

While some relish at the opportunity to cash on a Banksy piece done up on their property, others are frankly not buying into the hype. Case in point, as a New York shop owner painted over an entire wall that was filled with graffiti. Albeit, the Banksy piece seen on his wall was sharing a spot with a few other artists, at the rate various Banksy pieces have been going on the market there's a lot you could do with a piece from the famous street artist.

Love or hate all the talk about Banksy but its not very often you hear news of his work on the streets being cleaned up.

Made more fascinating when owners of certain walls Banksy has hit are selling for a dime or two the owner of this wall has just wiped the work away for good

http://urbancamou.blogspot.com/2008/01/banksy-on-ebay.html. Note that his stuff is normally sold for crazy $$$$$$$. A complete wall designed by Banksy has just been sold on Ebay at more than 208,000 pounds!!!!!!
